About Andy Oudman:

Andy Oudman is London's best known newsman and the city's most experienced and popular radio newscaster. He has worked on CJBK and 97.5 London's EZ Rock for a total of over 30 years. Andy's day begins at 3 am as he begins preparing for the morning news run on Astral Media's FM sister station, 97.5 London's EZ Rock before walking thirty feet down the hall to host Newstalk 1290 Today on CJBK each morning beginning at 9am.

His very energetic and colourful style have drawn attention and job offers from radio stations both in Canada and the United States, but he has chosen to pass on options elsewhere to stay in the city he loves. Andy is a graduate of Western, where he graduated in 1973, and Fanshawe College's School of Broadcast Journalism where he graduated in 1975, the year he began doing afternoon newscasts on CJBK. Andy and Marilyn have three sons, one in university and two now in the work force.

After working on CIQM for 20 years, Andy Oudman is delighted to be back on CJBK hosting Newstalk 1290 Today, the station where he began his career. His primary focus during his one hour talk show each weekday morning from 9am to 10am is the major breaking stories of that day. After a lively discussion of those events with guests and callers, he always rounds out the hour leaving his listeners with a smile as he seeks out "The Biggest of the Big", a feature very popular with listeners who enjoy hearing about men's pants sizes up to size 72, diamond rings worth 41 thousand dollars and bottles of perfume worth close to a quarter million dollars. Andy is incurably curious ( even nosey ) about life, about people and events and loves to share with his listeners his fascination with all three.
