Murder charges have now been laid against the wife of a man whose body was found inside a burned out house near Glencoe last month.

Firefighters found the body of 52 year old Christie Hands January 30th, among the rubble of his home on Longwoods road,  the day after fire tore though the structure.

Police deemed both the fire and the death suspicious and on Friday Hands wife Sandra turned herself into police.

She has now been charged with 2nd degree murder and remains in custody.

Two men from Strathroy-Caradoc have also been charged as accessories after the fact.

The relationship between Hands and the men is unclear.

Police and the Ontario fire Marshal's office continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
