Finance Minister to Stop in London

Canada's finance minister will begin selling his new federal budget in London.

The day after the budget is delivered in Parliament, Jim Flaherty will speak at a London Chamber of Commerce lunch at the Best Western.

Flaherty is under pressure to strike a balance in the budget between stimulus programs to sustain economic recovery and a brake on spending to rein in the federal deficit estimated at 56 billion dollars.

The budget comes down on March 4th.
