This Time Tiger Isn't Going To Get What He Wants
Tiger Woods seems to have been getting whatever and whomever he has wanted for awhile now.But all of that is hopefully over. Despite what certain people might think, no one is big enough to have their cake and eat it too.
If Tiger Woods wants to put everything that has happened behind him and truly move forward, then he must answer the questions that reporters and fans have for him.
Until he does that, this whole scandalous mess is going to stay with him. It will be brought up over and over.
Is that fair ? Absolutely not.
Tiger Woods feels that this is a private matter between himself and his family and a few other choice individuals. It really should be just that, but it isn't.
You can't tell someone you have a secret inside a box and expect them to leave you alone with that secret.
In this case, part of that secret came spilling out of the box for the whole world to see and now Tiger is trying his best to cram it back in and pretend that no one got a glimpse.
Well, they did.
Tiger is likely also hoping that a prepared statement read out into a camera is going to satisfy everyone. The apologies will be given and the matter will be declared closed.
He will then want to return to the PGA Tour in peace.
He needs to know that will never happen.
Tiger needs to know that what he did in the first place was cold, cowardly and costly. The world has turn on him. He is no longer the picture of perfection that he once appeared to be.
Still, there aren't many things that people in this world like to do more than grant forgiveness. The examples are too many to mention, but Bill Clinton was never impeached - that should say enough.
If Tiger was prepared to come forward and face the media, then this would go away.
Instead, he seems bent to keep doing it all his way. And his way, as it has been apparently far too many times, is the wrong way.
Too bad Tiger. You used to be someone to look up to.
