THE BUG

One step at a time...

I don't think there's any mystery that I, like so many other people, struggle constantly with my weight. Sure, once I get to the gym, I always feel good, and cutting out the bad stuff like sweets and red wine, I know that's better for me in the long run, but I want to LIVE too!

So, I came up with an ingenious plan! I have not stopped going to the gym. I do make it there about three times a week. I always feel guilty that it's not more, but I have to give myself SOME credit. So instead of feeling guilty, I thought I would conduct an experiment. Without changing my workout or diet drastically, which isn't really all THAT bad, just a little chocolate here and there, and red wine with The Bachelor, I am only going to change just one thing.

I started wearing ankle weights at work!

I have two flights of stairs that I go up and down several times in any one given weekday. Just by adding weights to my feet, I believe I can tone up my butt nicely and maybe even shed a few pounds!

This isn't scientific and please, if you decide to join me in this, consult your physician first! (A little tongue in cheek but DO be careful)

I started today and I don't know if it's because I had a "leg" weights day at the gym yesterday or if it's the weights, but my feet sure felt heavy! It's not exactly a fashion statement either, their not concealed very well! (I'll try and provide a picture soon! Not sure how I will measure success... how do you measure how tight a butt is?) They're really awkward and I looks like something out of a black and white Frankenstein film, but I'm doing it and trying to be spry as I gallop up the stairs!

Remember, I'm not going to change my diet or exercise regime drastically, just wear the weights! They are 2.5lbs each so an additional 5lbs on my legs total.... I'm going to do this for the month of February which of course is a short month!

Wish me luck and stay tuned!

Hey ..you can do it

the best work-out is cleaning your walls and cleaning your floors. This is free and you can do it in such a manner that it becomes a major fitness workout. Plus the staisfaction of having clean walls and floors. I cannot wait to wake up in the morning and mop all my floors here at Hey Rock! I feel so fit afterwards! - Just my thoughts!

Good luck ---good for you!!!
