Bob Cooper and Snooky Young Sextet - In a Mellotone

Tenor saxophonist Bob Cooper teams up with a group of hard-swinging mainstreamers (trumpeter Snooky Young, pianist Ross Tompkins, guitarist Doug Macdonald, bassist Monty Budwig and Jeff Hamilton) on this LP to play a program filled with veteran standards and a few newer pieces. The emphasis is on no-nonsense swinging, particularly during such numbers as "In a Mellotone" and "Jumpin' at the Woodside."
