Rick Nash Traded To The New York Rangers
The New York Rangers have replenished their London Knights' quota. Rick Nash has become a Ranger. Nash was dealt to New York by Columbus on Monday with minor leaguer Steve Delisle and a conditional third round pick for Artem Anisimov, Brandon Dubinsky, Tim Erixon and a first round pick in 2013.
The Rangers had seen former Knight Brandon Prust move to Montreal and were left with Dan Girardi and Michael Del Zotto on their roster. They are now back to three ex-Knights.
The Rangers were one of the six teams that Nash had indicated he would accept a trade to. New York had made their interest very public, indicating that they felt they lacked added scoring punch in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
