Mustangs Win Wind Bowl
The Ottawa U Gee Gees did not look much like a 2-6 team by the end of Saturday afternoon. They hung with the Western Mustangs right to the very end and the wind sheared across the field in Beckwith Township, the temporary home of the Gee Gees.
Liram Hajrullahu hit a 32-yard field goal with four seconds left to give Western a 32-29 win and fourth place in the OUA which grants them a home playoff game in the first week of the post-season.
Hajrullahu and Ottawa kicker Matt Falvo combined for 10 field goals on 12 attempts.
Will Finch was 11 of 25 for 168 yards and an interception for the Mustangs who played without running back Garrett Sanvido.
