Beefeaters Ontario Champions

There is nothing like your first time.  On Saturday, a 19-16 win over the Hamilton Hurricanes gave the London Beefeaters their first Ontario Football Conference Championship.

Heavy rain limited the passing game and made the field and the players slippery at TD Waterhouse stadium.

Wide receiver Josh Woodman took advantage early in the third, returning a punt 82-yards for a touchdown.  Running back Jared Clubine added another TD on a 1-yard plunge that gave the Beefs the points they needed for the first Ontario title in their37 year history.

London will now face the Prairie Football Conference Champion in a CJFL semi-final.
