Kyle DeCoste, Tyler Peters and rookie Matt Marantz scored third period goals to lead the Western Mustangs past Laurier 3-2 in their home opener.  Western found themselves down 2-0 after forty minutes, but Ryan Daniels (former Saginaw Spirit goalie) was excellent.

The Mustangs simply hit a different gear in period three, outshooting Laurier 22-6.  Western is now 2-0 on the year after a 6-2 win in Waterloo on Friday.

The Mustangs will host Guelph on Wednesday at 7:00 at Thompson Arena.
