Mustangs Win Second Straight National Title

The Western Mustangs won their second straight women's softball National Championship.
The Mustangs defeated Durham College 10-2 in five innings with pitcher Stacie Cox picking up the win.
The Mustangs almost had a perfect season - losing only one game, and outscoring opponents 213-26 on their way to another National Championship.
Western’s Kara Stirling was named tournament MVP, going 2-0 from the circle with a 2.10 ERA, one shut out, and 17 strike outs over 10 innings.
