Knights Get Back To Basics In Another 8-2 Win
After two straight home ice losses, the London Knights mantra became "getting back to basics". On Friday night, London got back to what they had doen in winning their first two games of the season, beating the Windsor Spitfires 8-2. The Knights now have three victories on the year, all of them by the same 8-2 score.
Max Domi and Matt Rupert each had two goals and an assist in the win. Illinois native, Alex Broadhurst also scored twice for London. Josh Anderson and Brett Welychka added singles. Welychka now has four goals in his first five games.
The Knights came at the Spitfires in waves all night and didn't allow them many chances the other way. London outshot Windsor 43-22.
Kevin Bailie picked up the win in net for London.
The Knights now head for Erie to play the Otters on Saturday night. Broadcast time on NewsTalk 1290 is 6:30.
