Zelinka Zeroes In On 100m Hurdles

London's Jessica Zelinka finished 7th in both the Heptathlon and the Women's 100m hurdles at the London Olympics.  As she looks ahead at the rest of 2012 and 2013 she is going to pare down her schedule a bit.  Set to move to Connecticut with her husband and daughter, Zelinka plans to compete in the 100m hurdles at events this year, but leave the Heptahlon to training.  Her desire is to improve her distances and heights in the jumping events with the hope of taking a shot at the Olympics again in 2016 in Rio.

Zelinka won gold in the Heptathlon at the 2007 Pan American Games.  She won silver at the Commonwealth Games in 2010.

Zelinka decided almost at the last minute to take part in the 100m hurdles at the Canadian Olympic trials.
