Tough Luck In Leamington For Nationals

Cole Chevalier scored 3:19 into overtime as the Leamington Flyers edged the London Nationals 5-4 Thursday night in Leamington. The goal handed London their second loss beyond regulation in as many nights. The Nationals were edged in a shootout by Sarnia at home on Wednesday.
Noah Schwartz continued his tear to start the year, recording another three-point game. He scored twice and added an assist, giving him 17 points in just 5 games. Matt Wildman and Blake Thomas also scored goals for London. Defenseman Lance Pridham picked up two assists.
The Nationals' power play continued to be dangerous, going 3 for 5.
Taylor Edwards was once again strong in net, making 38 saves.
The point moves the Nationals into a four-way tie for first place in the GOJHL's Western Conference with Leamington, Chatham and St. Mary's.
London plays host to St. Thomas on Wednesday at 7:30.
