Tough Luck In Leamington For Nationals

Cole Chevalier scored 3:19 into overtime as the Leamington Flyers edged the London Nationals 5-4 Thursday night in Leamington.  The goal handed London their second loss beyond regulation in as many nights.  The Nationals were edged in a shootout by Sarnia at home on Wednesday.

Noah Schwartz continued his tear to start the year, recording another three-point game.  He scored twice and added an assist, giving him 17 points in just 5 games.  Matt Wildman and Blake Thomas also scored goals for London.  Defenseman Lance Pridham picked up two assists.

The Nationals' power play continued to be dangerous, going 3 for 5.

Taylor Edwards was once again strong in net, making 38 saves.

The point moves the Nationals into a four-way tie for first place in the GOJHL's Western Conference with Leamington, Chatham and St. Mary's.

London plays host to St. Thomas on Wednesday at 7:30.
