Nationals Score Early And Often To Defeat Vipers
Seven goals over the first two periods paced the London Nationals to a 7-4 win in LaSalle on Wednesday night. London racked up their second straight road victory with more strong contributions from their veterans. Noah Schwartz had four assists, twice setting up linemate Blake Thomas on the power play. Thomas ended the night with two goals and an assist.
London also got a power play goal from Ryan Wells and even strength goals from Matt Wildman, Paul Hopkins, captain Scott Lombardi and new addition Lance Pridham to move into a first place tie with the Leamington Flyers in the GOJHL's Western Conference. Aaron Dartch and Shawn Crowley each had two assists.
The Nationals made their offensive chances count all night long as LaSalle played strong team defense and limited London to just 21 shots. Taylor Edwards faced 31 shots in net for the Nats and picked up the victory.
London does not play again until next Wednesday when they will host Lambton Shores at the Western Fair Sports Centre.
