Patterson vs Paterson As Knights Fall To Spirit
Jake Paterson of the Saginaw Spirit made 48 saves as the London Knights were shut out 2-0 Sunday afternoon at the John Labatt Centre. The Knights were stymied again and again by the Red Wings’ prospect, but it may have been his namesake at the other end of the ice that made the most dazzling stops of the afternoon.
Jake Patterson of the London Knights came up large, stopping several breakaways and was named the game’s third star. Patterson was only beaten by a Dalton Young screened shot in the first period with the Spirit on the power play and then in the third by a shot from Eric Locke that tucked inside the top corner after the Knights had failed to clear the puck after a goal mouth scramble.
London will play their third pre-season game in four days when they travel to Sarnia on Monday afternoon.
