OPP say an 80 year old London woman succumbed to her injuries after falling off a dock Saturday in Ramara Township near Orillia.

Officers responded to a call to Heron Island just after 7 p.m.

The victim's husband and neighbours were able to get her to shore and perform CPR until emergency services arrived.

Marilyn Zaple was rushed to Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital in Orillia.

She died a few hours later.

An autopsy proved the cause of death as drowning.
