Ontario Lottery and Gaming closed down some slots at racetracks programs around the province a couple of months ago, at the same time announcing that more jobs could be created if there was an expansion of the facilities here in London.
Dr. Kimble Ainslie of Nordex Research spoke to Newstalk 1290's Steve Garrison this morning and says they found in a survey done, that a large number of people would not support it - about 59 percent.
Ainslie says people don't like the idea of expanded gambling because it contributes to addictions with negative social and financial outcomes for families.
The other thing people were concerned about was the privatization of gambling facilities.
