London Mayor Joe Fontana in Court Tuesday

London Mayor Joe Fontana will be in court tomorrow on criminal charges he is facing for the misuse of public funds.
Fontana was charged in November by the RCMP, with fraud, breach of trust by a public official, and uttering forged documents after allegations he used government money to help pay for his son's wedding reception at the Marconi Club in 2005.
The money was in the amount of $1,700, a cheque from Public Works Canada and was allegedly used by Fontana when he was an federal MP.
Calls for Fontana to step aside while court proceedings take place were ignored and the mayor chose to remain in office while the situation is worked out.
