The new model for water rates in London goes before the Civic Works Committee today at city hall.
The new model is a complicated system but the good news is most homeowners should see lower water rates.
Councillor Harold Usher is the Chair of the Civic Works Committee says average residential customers using 120 to 200 cubic meters a year would pay 24 to 30 dollars less each year in the new system.
The one downfall would be an increase of $6 dollars to over $13,000 year for industrial and commercial users.
The committee will table a study from a consulting firm this afternoon, a public meeting will then be held, with a final step of a vote at council.
