Proposed Changes to Smoking Bylaw Will Not Include Parks
A new anti smoking bylaw could be implemented by next spring in London.
At City Hall last night, a committee voted in favour of new restrictions banning smoking within 9 meters of playgrounds or entranceways to municipal buildings.
The one thing that will remain the same is smoking would still be allowed in parks, but the new distance restrictions would be put in place.
The final vote goes to council as early as next week.
