City Could Increase Water Rates

The city's civic works committee is looking at an increase in water rates.
It would be water useage fees, plus a fixed rate to pay for the infrastructure.
Councillor and Chair of the Civic Works Committee Harold Usher says it's necessary to improve the water systems.
Usher says the pipes, pumps, and reservoirs need to be maintained and it has to be paid for by the taxpayer.
It will add about 20 percent more to your water bill.
