Local school officials continue to meet today to discuss what will happen with extra curricular activities, in the midst of work to rule action.
Officials with the Thames Valley Board are meeting with principals to determine what to do with extra curriculars, as teachers are protesting the McGuinty government's contract legislation.
Director of Education Bill Tucker says they are still in the meeting and he says they've decided to keep things going as best they can and the problems seem to be sorted out in the high schools but it is still not consistent for the all of the elementary schools.
He says many of the elementary schools are continuing with parent-teacher meetings.
Tucker says that a large group of teachers in the board are taking part in the withdrawl from voluntary out of class activities.
He says whether or not the contingency plan will last is something they'll assess on a weekly basis.
