A tragedy over lost belongings in a fire yesterday in London turning out to be a good news story.

A London woman, who's grandmother and uncle lived in a unit of a four plex that was hit by fire yesterday on St. Patrick Street, put out a plea on  her Facebook profile to see if anyone could help.

Within an hour people came forward to help Valeeta Blancher-Bennett collect beds, a tv, clothing, and monetary and donations of time for her relatives.

The fire department was called to the home near Oxford and Wharncliffe, when the fire broke out in one of the units.

Blancher-Bennett says her grandmother and uncle are doing well, despite being overwhelmed at the fire and the outpouring of support from generous people.
