Man Charged with Attempted Murder

A London man has been charged with attempted murder after an incident early today.
London Police say that just before 1 this morning, they were called to an address on Wharncliffe Road where they found a 35 year old woman who was being assaulted.
The woman was rescued and the male suspect barricaded himself inside the residence, but officers managed to gain access and found the man holding two knives.
He was tasered and arrested.
The woman suffered just minor injuries and was treated in hospital and released.
The 29 year old man, whose name is not being released to protect the victim, is facing attempted murder, assault, and weapons charges.
