Questions Today Surrounding Sysco Building in Woodstock

Questions are flying today after Sysco - a food distributor- announced yesterday they worked out a deal with the City of Woodstock to open a plant there bringing upwards of 350 jobs.
London was apparently their first choice and now people are wondering why a deal on land couldn't have been worked out to open the plant here.
City Councillor Bud Polhill says the city didn't "blow it" on the deal, that it was a proper business decision and they would have had to pay $720-thousand dollars to grade the land to their satisfaction, which would have to come off the price.
Polhill says they also could have been charged with "bonusing" on the land by the provincial government and that would have killed the deal anyhow.
He says what the city really needs to do is get land of the south of the 401 developed, to avoid losing out on any more deals.
The construction on Sysco's Woodstock plant is starting this fall.
