1 in 5 Pools Fail Safety Inspection During Blitz

Bylaw enforcement officers are continuing their blitz of residential pools to make sure their up to safety standard.
Bylaw enforcement officer Orest Katolyk says the news from the first week of the blitz, isn't good.
"1 in 5 pools did not pass. And the biggest issue is surrounding the gates, some of the gates were left wide open, other gates, the self closing latch was not working."
The next biggest issue was no fence around pools while they're under construction.
Enforcement officers continue their inespections right through until the end of the month.
